Shipping Guide

Everything buyers and sellers need to know about shipping on TCG Market.

Sellers are responsible for safe and prompt delivery. Buyers are protected if items are lost, delayed, or arrive damaged.

For Sellers — Shipping Responsibilities

Ship Within 3 Business Days

Once payment is confirmed, sellers must ship within 3 business days. If you're unable to ship within this timeframe, message the buyer immediately and explain the reason. Unexplained delays lead to disputes and negative reviews.

Tracking Requirements

Tracked postage is required for all orders over A$30. For orders under A$30, tracking is strongly recommended. Without tracking, proving delivery in a dispute is extremely difficult and may result in a ruling against the seller.

Add your tracking number to the order within 24 hours of posting. Buyers receive automatic tracking updates.

Packaging Standards

Cards must be packaged to survive normal postal transit without damage:

  • Singles: Penny sleeve + rigid top loader or card saver, wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a padded mailer or rigid envelope
  • High-value singles (A$50+): Use registered/tracked post with signature on delivery
  • Graded slabs: Bubble-wrapped and packed tightly in a box to prevent movement
  • Sealed product: Inner bubble wrap, outer rigid box, clearly marked "Fragile"
  • Bulk lots: Sorted, sleeved in bundles, and packed securely to prevent shifting

Damage caused by inadequate packaging is the seller's responsibility and will result in a refund if disputed.

For Buyers — What to Expect

Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery times depend on the seller's location and the shipping method chosen. As a general guide within Australia:

  • Same state: 1–4 business days
  • Interstate: 3–7 business days
  • Remote areas: 5–14 business days

These are estimates only. Australia Post and other carriers may experience delays during peak periods.

Tracking Your Order

Once the seller adds a tracking number to your order, you can monitor delivery progress from your Orders page. We use AfterShip to provide live tracking updates across all major Australian carriers.

If Your Order Hasn't Arrived

If your order hasn't arrived within 14 business days of the expected delivery date:

  • First, check the tracking information for any delivery attempt notifications
  • Message the seller through TCG Market to investigate
  • If unresolved after 48 hours, open a dispute from your Order page

You are covered by Buyer Protection for items that don't arrive.

Local Pickup

Some sellers offer local pickup. If a listing shows "Local pickup available," you can arrange a safe, public meeting place with the seller through TCG Market's messaging system. Always meet in a public location — a card shop, shopping centre, or police station front desk are all suitable options.

Local pickup transactions are still covered by Buyer Protection. Payment should be completed through TCG Market before meeting — do not pay cash at pickup.
